Recipe Rave Review: Garlic Bread Crossaints

She doesn't call her blog Damn Delicious for no reason, her recipes are just what she says they are...damn (emphasis on the damn) delicious. Thank you for yet another mouth watering, crowd pleasing hit Chungah, your garlic bread croissants.

Now why I didn't think of adding butter to an already buttery pastry is beyond me, but I am glad somebody did so I could give it a try. This minimal ingredient, quick recipe is just what we Thriving Wives like. Now if you are able to exercise some portion control then you will be in a much better spot then I was.

First, slice your croissants, gather your ingredients and preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Add a bit of cooking spray to a baking sheet and grab a small bowl for mixing.

Whisk together butter, olive oil, oregano, basil, Parm, garlic and salt. Grab your food brush (or a spoon if you need to improvise) and prepare to share the butter love.

With the croissants facing up on the baking pan, brush (or spoon) each slice generously, keeping in mind you want to save about half of the mixture for later. Place in the oven for 7-8 minutes or until golden brown.

Once your kitchen is filled with an aroma that leaves saliva on your kitchen floor they are done! Use the remaining garlic-ey butter mixture and brush the rest on and serve immediately...or eat one or two in the kitchen before sharing with the rest of your family...

Looking forward to many more Damn Delicious recipe rave reviews and I am kind of obsessed with her. If you don't subscribe already, do so, you won't be disappointed! Any other food blogs I should be checking out and trying?

  1. Sounds wonderful but one question. Recipe says:
Mix together butter, olive oil, oregano, basil, cheese and salt. Grab your food brush (or a spoon if you need to improvise) and prepare to share the butter love.
Are the garlic cloves added to the butter mixture or separately (and when)? Thanks!

  2. Hey there!

EPIC mistake! Apparently Em was so focused on conjuring up memories of this mouth watering treat her fingers missed an important key ingredient. Please see the post has been revised to make sure the garlic is added to that glorious buttery mixture. Thank you again for catching that and we are so sorry for the error!
