Vintage Clip Gone DIY Magnet

When I stumbled upon these old, painted clips I snapped them up.  Why you ask?  Well, I couldn't really tell you at the time, I just wanted them, they were .25 and it seemed like I could do something with them.  Sure enough, once I bought them, I started to find them everywhere; including my old classroom.

Loving the look of these old things, I decided to make them magnets.  That way I could use them on to hold up important information and special pictures on the refrigerator.  Lucky for me, I had some magnetic parts just laying around (don't ask me how, they were just in my "junk box").  Had I not had these little circular ditties, I could have easily bought the magnetic tape which would have also worked for this particularly quick project.

First up, I had to get my glue gun hot and running.  Next, dab a bit of glue on the magnet.

Hold the clip centered above the magnet and watch that thing jump up and glue itself on (that was really cool to watch acutally, it felt very 6th grade science class-ish).

Within seconds you have vintage clips gone magnet!

Do you have any quick and easy DIY projects you love to do?
