Make Your Mondays - November 4th
It was a family filled weekend for these Thriving Wives as Em headed home to the Bay Area to see her Geena and Pop and Nic had her sister, niece and dad down from the Bay Area. Em was able to not only get some much needed home time in, but also hit her fave flea with her fave twins; Maria and Beks. Along with a lot of baby visitation, Nic took her Navy vet Papa (plus the fam) to see the USS Iowa Battleship that is now a museum near Long Beach, and celebrated her Mama's birthday with dinner Saturday night and a movie on Sunday!
Too much of our society is built on "Keeping up with the Joneses". Who are these damn Joneses and why do they set the precedent on what we should have in our lives? Life is just too short to be unhappy, stuck in an air controlled cubicle, staring at a computer screen all day and interacting with no one. I admire those people (like my own Thriving Momma) who just throw their hands up and say, "I'm not doing it! Life is too short for this nonsense! I am going to LIVE!" Yes, money is necessary for survival and it seems the more you have the easier life is, but is life happier? Is it worth all the long hours just to look back on life and wonder where it all went? Maybe, but imagine if your career was living happily and finding joy in what you do each day or finding something else to do...just imagine.
