Grilled Summer Peaches

I love summer.  Literally everything about it is amazing.  I am all about hot weather and wearing a bikini at all times, so this is my season.  Being able to hit the beach, get super tan and rock cute summer clothes is just about the best thing that ever happened to me.  Add the bonus of not having to work and you can pretty much conclude these three months are the highlight of my year!  Only one thing make these long days and warm nights even better...grilling up fresh veggies..and peaches!

Since I try to go to my Farmer's Market as much as possible and load up on organic, locally grown fruits and veggies.  Just this last weekend in preparation for Nic's shower (more to come on that later), I jammed over at 8am, met my girl Holl and stocked up on some yummy summer goods.  One thing I couldn't pass up? The softball sized peaches that I nearly tried to crawl inside while smelling...ahhhmazing!


I am all about eating them straight (I did have one in the car on my way home, juices dripping down my face and all), but throw them on the BBQ and I am even happier than before.  All I do is slice them in half, take out the pit and hand them to my TH to throw on the grill.

 
Off they come grilled and smoked to perfection.   I quickly sprinkle on some brown sugar and allow that sweet goodness to sink in deep into those  juicy nooks and crannies.


Once the sugar has had a moment to settle in, I grab my vanilla ice cream, place a scoop on top while trying to mop up the drool pouring out of my mouth.  This quick and super easy recipe is not one I would recommend passing up!


Peaches are now in season and plentiful...so don't wait!  I assure you, your friends and family alike will marvel at this tasty treat and how quickly it can get from your bowl into your belly!  Get grilling and let us know what you think!
