Garage Sale'n Goddess
I love treasures. Make a mission out of treasure hunting and I am one happy lady! Whether referencing the Teeny Beanie Baby McDonald’s mission of the early 90’s or the regular Target/Marshall’s missions my mom and Aunt B participate in, I love them all. Something about racing all over town to find one item, the one item that could ultimately change your life for the better… riiiigggght. I guess it really all comes down to the chase, making sure someone doesn’t beat me to the last clearance item I need to survive! So what better venue than other people’s junk?
I am definitely a believer of the old drive by, if you don’t like what you see curbside on the whole, why stop? I gotta get on to the next one… don’t you know this is an unannounced race?! Once I find a sale worth committing to, you’ll find me clad with my Vera Bradley Pouch (the best for hands free treasure hunting). With my eyes hidden behind my Marc Jacobs shades, no one can see just what I am focusing on. I don’t want to draw attention to what I want, someone may try to do the old grab and run. I scour for long forgotten discarded goods I can take home and make my own.
If you like me and love all things old and classic, then this is definitely an activity for you. It can be a little frightening at first, so get a trusty co-pilot and engage in the fun game of “sign spotting”. I call on all you Thriving Readers to try it and share your stories; I know you won’t be disappointed!!
